The rods of the hot-rolled special profiles are a cheaper alternative and have a greater dimensional regularity and mechanical characteristics compared to the parts obtained by processes of forging, smelting or extrusion.
 
For its development, LOSAL has an Engineering Department staffed with technical personnel and the appropriate IT tools (CAD, simulation, etc.), a cylinder machining workshop and tools preparation workshop.
 
For profiles with very demanding tolerances and finishes, LOSAL has developed a special process after the hot-rolled process, consisting of trimming the surplus rolling (burrs), which allows the attainment of narrower tolerances and very accurate finishes and greater regularity.
